↓ What is it?
Here at authentic(?) curryhouse we love our curry; really, quite a lot. The quest has been long and tasty as we’ve searched for the best authentic dishes, uncovering some of the secrets of what makes an authentic curry. And it’s that journey that we’re sharing with you at our events in and around Glasgow. Linking in with the new wave of pop-up restaurants, the curryhouse is held in alternative venues, from community centres, to old schools, to church halls, to people’s homes. It’s a new eating experience, allowing you to indulge in some excellent food along with the opportunity, if you so desire, to meet others from your area.
We’re passionate about good food, from good sources, that does good for body and soul. So, come along and eat, laugh, and satisfy your hunger.

We love eating – like really love it tons. Simple. And, so, this is the starting point for who we are: Eaters. Lovers of food.
Alex is a part-time church minister, farm worker, barrista – and now adds curryhouse chef to his list of occupations! Sally does everything else. And, together we run the authentic(?) curryhouse, a dream we’ve had for a long time. We wanted to combine our passions for curry and community, and so the curryhouse began as our wee business venture.
When it comes to the actual food, Alex has been on a journey to find out what real Indian cooking is all about, honing his skills over the years to get to this point.
Sally has been the head curry-taster, sampling and suggesting, more often than not with a big smile on her face.
